We can only accept appointments for brides whose weddings are 15 months or less away. Bookings beyond this timeframe will be cancelled. Thank you for understanding, as this allows us to focus on brides shopping 10-12 months before their wedding.

Each bride may bring up to three guests to ensure comfort and meet fire safety regulations. Please read our FAQs before booking.

Our made-to-order gowns cost £1,400–£8,000, with most priced between £2,700–£4,000. These gowns take 8-10 months to produce; rush fees may apply for timelines under 5-6 months.

Frequently asked questions

  • Halo and Wren is strictly bride plus three guests.

  • The store is not suitable for children, with leaning dangerous mirrors, stairs, white sofas and white dresses, we do not allow children. Babes in arms are welcome in a car seat or bouncer. Prams cannot be accommodated in the store.

  • There is free parking outside the store limited to one hour. There is also a very low cost carpark which requires card or parking app payment - the first left after the store.

    There is also a large free carpark at Gadebridge Park - a 5 minute walk away.

  • The appointment fee will only be refunded on cancellations or changes on appointments with over 72 hours notification.

HOW TO GET TO US

  • Use the post code HP1 3AH, the Old High Street is a one way road, there is free parking outside the shop for 60 minutes, it is not camera controlled, however it is traffic warden controlled. There are several places to park for more than an hour, drive past the shop and take the first left into a low cost carpark - this carpark does not accept cash, only card or payments through the PAYBYPHONE App. Alternatively, if you continue straight past the shop and over the mini roundabout, you will see a line of cars parked along a wall, this is all restriction free parking, alternatively if you take the first left after the mini roundabout you will see a very large free carpark called Gadebride Park, which is a 5 minute stroll through the park back to the Old High Street.

  • Hemel Hempstead Station is located in Boxmoor and is on the line out of Euston, it is approximately a 24 minute journey depending on the train. Boxmoor and the station is about a 7/10 minute Uber/Taxi drive from H&W. This station is well served by buses, the store is also walkable through the main town if you have time.

    The other station that is nearby is St Albans on the Kings Cross line, this is a 15/20 minute Uber/Taxi to H&W.

  • London Luton Airport is closest airport only a twenty minute drive away, we frequently have brides fly in and out of London Luton to visit, alternatively London Heathrow is approximately 30-45 minute drive away also

  • Places to eat: The Old Town is well catered for with Coffee Shops including, Old Town Coffee & Cake, Coffee & Wine and Artichoke. We also have a notable South East Asian restaurant and Thai, however, close by for more brunch, bubbles, lunch and dinner we have The Marchmont Arms, which is a 5/10 minute walk straight down the road to H&W, it has free parking and a large popular garden, further down the road approximately a 5/10 minute drive is The Red Lion at Water End and a little further The Alford Arms.

    Hemel Hempstead Old Town, notably is a historic area with parts dating back to Doomsday book, the High St is a popular place for filming and we are proud to be featured in several large movies and Netflix series like Ricky Gervais’s AfterLife. If you have time before or after your appointment, take a wonder, the Old Town is Hemel Hempstead jewel in the crown.
